Dear Moderator

Thank you for taking the time to look at my blog. I have made a music magazine for my coursework which I am very proud of. I spent a lot of time and effort on my work which I hope is reflected in the finished product.

My research and planning starts from the 8th September
My evaluation begins on the 24th February
My finished music magazine will appear directly under this text.

I hope you enjoy looking at my finished product.

Research and Planning: My Magazine Today

This is the stage my magazine is at after spending my first hour on it. I am happy with the progress i
I have made and my colour choices.

Research and Planning: Shot list

When thinking about my magazine I have a good idea of the kinds of shots I want to use. The main image on the cover should be a mid shot of the whole band so that you can clearly see each member and possibly the facial expression they will have. Any other image used on the cover will be more of a close up.

Research and Planning scenery ideas

At this very moment in time I am questioning whether to take my images in a city setting or in a park area with trees in the background. So to make sure I am completely happy with the outcome of my images I think I should try two separate photo shoots in two separate locations

Resesrch and Planning: Pose ideas

These are possible ideas for how I want my models to pose during my cover photo shoot.  As my 'band' will have a front woman I want to make sure that she is the main focus of the photograph therefore she needs to be stood at the front or central.

Research and Planning: Equipment and Software List

When making my music magazine I will need to use
An SLR Camera to take my photographs on, using this kind of camera will make sure my images are clearer more professional.
Photoshop, to Create my music magazine cover and to edit my photographs. I will need Photoshop to manipulate my photographs until they look the way I want them to look.

Adobe In Design, will be used for my contents page and double page spread when I need to add text in columns to make my magazine look more professional and realistic.

An i Mac computer so that my work can be completed and I can use the programs such as Photoshop

Research and Planning: Plan for the week

This week I am going to do the following things.

- Print out my model release forms and decide on some of my potential models
- Start to fill in some of the production documents
- Starting my own posts i.e what kind of models I want to use
- Having a look at potential poses to use for my models
- Take some Model headshots

Research and Planning: Edited draft

After asking my audience what they would like to see in a rock magazine I decided to change my cover draft a little bit. I made sure the price was £2.50 which was the price most people said would be acceptable. I chose to use green for my masthead so now I know that my colour scheme will be black white and green. I wrote down all of the content that was suggested by my target audience to make sure I do not forget anything.

Research and Planning: Music Magazine interviews

Research and Planning: My production schedule

This is my production schedule. Making this will help me keep on track of the work I am doing and it will also make sure that I do not fall behind in any of my work. Week 9 will remain blank as I am not in the country, so I will not be able to complete any work during that time.
